Pastors and laymen alike may not have the educational skills to read and study the Bible.

A CREATIVE SOLUTION IS REQUIRED!

In order to meet this challenge, Cybermissions partnered with the Harvestime International Network to create a very affordable Associate Degree in Biblical Studies for pastors, Christian leaders and laymen. Costs were kept to just $5 USD per subject by automating much of the process. The total two-year, 22 subject degree costs only $164 USD.

The process has three components:

*Free digital resources that are low-bandwidth and easy to download and use, even on mobile phones.

*Local study centers in churches that are easy to set up and run,

*And Online exams that are secure, randomized, and credible.

The pastors, Christian leaders and laymen being trained can get together in a church or Bible College to study the free resources which are Harvestime “self-teaching” Theological Education by Extension (T E E) manuals.

When the students are ready they can go online to the Harvestime International Institute and do the exams. It is a simple “study at your own pace” system.

After passing the exam, a certificate of completion for each subject is awarded. After successfully completing all 22 subjects, students receive their Diploma. Those in a British-style educational system will receive a Diploma in Biblical Ministries. Those in an American-style education system will receive an Associate Degree in Biblical Ministries.

Exam questions are randomized to prevent any cheating.

The Harvestime curriculum has been around since 1983 and has been used in dozens of nations with great enthusiasm among church leaders.

Cybermissions has provided the Computer support and the semi-automated educational system.
